We are now recruiting for the following role:
The Catering Assistant role is a hands-on one, involved in the day-to-day operation of the food and beverage offer of the museum. During regular opening hours and events, the postholder supports the Catering Supervisor and, in their occasional absence, supervises the service and preparation of food and beverage service to a range of customers, mostly at weekends. In addition, they assist in the allocation of all other duties and monitor catering standards.


This post is a key part of the operational team at the musuem. Working closely with the Marketing Officer, Welcome Supervisor and CEO - all in-post and established - , the post holder will engage directly with audiences to build footfall to Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome, owning relationships with visitor groups, schools and societies. Operationally, they will hold key relationships with the Finance Officer and Catering Supervisor. They will seek out new and refresh existing audiences, using their own expertise and networks, as well as developing those already in place, to reach educational, tourist and special interest groups.
