Hackman's Lane Re-opens!

The team at Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome are very glad to report that the roadworks that prevented access to our museum have been halted. Hackman's Lane is fully open! At this time, we are awaiting confirmation of any return of these works, but for now – we're overjoyed.

We met with Essex County Council on 15th July to discuss the impact of the works, and the Leader has offered his thoughts on the next steps, as well as committing to an ongoing conversation on the issue. Furthermore, we are meeting with Northumbrian Water in week of 22nd July to have similar discussions.

All of these meetings have one goal in mind – to mitigate the loss of thousands of pounds of income that these works have caused. Without this income being in some way recovered, our situation is incredibly bleak. The real work begins now!
